A core component of our Services (as defined in the Terms of Use) is the valuable interaction members have with our instructors, other members, and the broader community of Internet users.  We know that people have differing comfort levels in providing and sharing their information, so we have outlined our Privacy Policy below to help you better understand how we use your information and how you can control what we do with your information.

Scope

This privacy policy covers all of our Services.  Each time you use or access any of our Services, you agree to our privacy practices outlined here.

No Children Under 18 Years of Age

If you are under 18 years of age, please do not attempt to register for our Services or provide any personal information about yourself to us. If you believe that we might have any information from anyone under 18 years of age, please e-mail us at support@youble.com.

Parental Participation

We strongly recommend that persons under 18 years of age ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet.  Also we strongly encourage parents to teach their children about safe Internet use practices.

 

Information We Receive

When You Sign Up

When you sign up for our Services using your Facebook credentials, by manually entering your information, or using your credentials on any other social networking site (“SNSs”) we may use in the future, you provide us with (or grant permission for us to access) your first name, last name, e-mail address, password, profile picture, social graph, and SNS ID number (where applicable).   

We assign you a Youble member ID used to identify your account and profile.  The Youble member ID will be public to other Youble members in your Youble social graph (“Friend” or “Friends”) by appearing in the URL of your profile page.

Social Graph

To fully utilize the features of our Services, we encourage that you allow us to access your Facebook or other SNS social graph, and may allow you to invite your friends who are not members of our Services to become a member.  If a person in your Facebook or other SNS social graph becomes a member of our Services, he or she will become your Friend and you will be able to view his or her profile page and interact with him or her through a news feed, and in the future, direct messaging, chat, or other modes we may develop.

Transactional Information

We retain the record of transactions or payments you make for our Services, but we do not store your complete payment information on our servers.  We use CheddarGetter, LLC to securely process all payments you make to us and store your payment information for payment processing, recurring billing, and verification purposes.

 

When You Interact With Our Services

Your Activity, Information, and Content

We keep track of and store some of your activity, information, and content you provide us through use of our Services in order to provide you with additional features and functionality, increase your engagement with our Services, better understand our member demographics, refine our marketing, and grow our membership.

We keep track of and store the following activity, information, and content: the fitness workouts you view (along with when and how long you view them); the fitness classes you follow/unfollow; and content that you post (such as news feed posts, direct messages, pictures, blogs posts, and other activity, information, or content).

In the future, we may also keep track of and store other activity, information, and content, such as: your birthday; gender; your sharing activity within our Services and to third-party websites; visitors to our Services through your sharing activity; and ratings and feedback (for example, “likes”) you provide about classes, instructors, or content posted by us and other members.

Access Device and Browser Information

When you access our Services from a computer, laptop, tablet device, or any other device, we may collect information from that device to provide you with additional features and functionality, increase your engagement with our Services, better understand our member demographics, refine our marketing, and grow our membership.  This information may include: data about your device type; connection speed; browser type; geographical location; IP address; the amount of time you spend visiting or using our Services; and the pages and features you visit or use.

Cookie Information

We use "cookies" (small data files we place for an extended period of time on your computer, tablet device, or other device) to make our Services easier to use.  For example, we use them to store your email address and password to make it easier for you to login whenever you visit Youble’s website or utilize any of our Services. We also use them to confirm that you are logged into our Services.  You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use all our Services.

 

From Third Parties

Facebook or Other SNSs

When you sign up for our Services using Facebook or other SNSs, we ask for your permission to access your first name, last name, e-mail, and social graph from Facebook or other SNSs.  We do this to better embed our Services into your daily life so that you can better achieve your fitness goals.

Customer Support

We use ZenDesk to provide you with customer service.  When you ask for support, assistance or provide feedback to us, we will collect and store your name, e-mail, and the correspondence record through ZenDesk.

Other Users

We may collect information about you from other Youble members, such as when a friend indicates a relationship with you.

 

Sharing Information on Our Services

Public Information

The following activity, information, and content we collect from you may be made public to all members of Youble: your first name; your last name; your profile picture; any content you post on news feeds located on class pages and instructor pages; ratings and feedback (for example, “likes”) you provide about classes, instructors, or content posted by us and other members; and rewards, badges, levels, or leaderboards you earn by taking specific desired actions (such as when, how long, and how often your view fitness workouts; when and how often you post content; posting content that is highly rated by other members; sharing content on Facebook and other SNSs) (“Public Information”).

We ask that you post your real first name and last name, and a true and accurate picture of yourself so that your social interactions using our Services can be more authentic. However, if you are uncomfortable with sharing your real first name, last name, and profile picture, you can create a fictitious first and last name or delete (or not add) a profile picture.

Friend Only Information

The following activity, information, and content we collect from you may be made available to your Friends (and Friends of your Friends) who are members of Youble: your social graph; your Youble member ID (by appearing in the URL of your profile page); what classes you are following; when you view a fitness workout; any content you post on news feeds located on your Friends’ profile pages (“Friend Only Information”).

Private Information

We do not disclose your e-mail address or any other contact information you may provide to us.  We use this information to contact you, to provide you our Services, and to authenticate and maintain your account.

If we collect any other additional activity, information, or content from you, by default that activity, information, or content will be private, and not viewable by the public or your Friends, unless we indicate that the activity, information, or content will be Public Information or Friend Only Information.  You may be able to share certain activity, information, or content by modifying your privacy settings in your My Account page so that activity, information, or content is viewable by the public or your Friends.  Additionally, you may be able to share certain specific activity, information, or content to the public, your Friends, through Facebook, or through other SNSs by clicking on a “share” button or checkmark.

Other

Here are some other things to remember:

Some of the content you share and the actions you take will be public to other members or show up on other members’ news feeds. For example, when you post a message to a class or instructor’s news feed, other members will be able to view your message on that class or instructor’s news feed.

Even after you remove activity, information, or content from your profile or delete your account, copies of that activity, information , or content may remain viewable elsewhere on our Services, or Facebook or other SNSs, to the extent it has been shared with others and it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other members.

You understand that activity, information, and content about you that you make available pursuant to your privacy settings may be reshared or copied by other users.

 

Information You Share With Third Parties

Facebook and Other SNSs

As mentioned above, we partially integrate and share information on Facebook or other SNSs in order better embed Youble into your daily life allow you to more conveniently achieve your fitness goals. Because of this, some actions you take on our website (such as viewing a class, following a class, etc.) may be posted to your Facebook or other SNS profiles.

Links

When you click on links in our Services, you may leave our site. We are not responsible for the content available on or the privacy practices of other websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

 

How We Use Your Information

We keep track of and store some of your activity, information, and content you provide us through use of our Services in order to provide you with additional features and functionality, increase your engagement with our Services, better understand our member demographics, refine our marketing, and grow our membership.

We use the activity, information, and content we collect to motivate you and increase your engagement with our Services to help you better achieve your fitness and health goals.

To Contact You

We may contact you with service-related announcements and newsletters from time to time. You may opt out of all communications except essential updates by changing your settings in the My Account page. We may include activity, information, and content you see on our Services in the e-mails or other correspondence we send to you.

To Help Your Friends Find You

We allow you to import your social graph from Facebook or other SNSs to help you find and connect with your Friends.

To Better Promote Our Services

We may use activity, information, and content we collect to advertise our Services more effectively through such channels as search engines, Facebook, other SNSs, other websites, mobile devices, and print media.

To Allow Third Party Advertising

We may allow advertisers to market to you.  In these cases, we will use collective, aggregated, non-personally identifiable demographic activity, information, and content to enable third party advertisers to select advertisements that are more likely to appeal to members than randomly selected advertisements. We will not disclose any of your personal activity, information, or content, or target advertising specifically at you based on your activity, information, or content.

 

How We Share Information

We share your activity, information, and content with others where it may be beneficial for you, other members, and/or non-members to help you achieve your/their fitness goals.  Additionally, we share activity, information, or content with others in order to draw new members to our site.

When You Invite a Friend to Join

When you invite another person to join Youble through our Services, we will send that person a message on your behalf, using your name.  The invitation may also contain activity, information, and content about other members he or she might know.

To Help Your Friends Find You

We may make certain activity, information, or content you have provided in search results on our Services to help your friends find you.

Third Party Access to Public Information

We generally limit third parties’ access to our Services, except the activity, information, and content that is Public Information or does not require a log-in and password. We may allow search engines to access Public Information. Although our Terms of Use prohibit commercial “scraping” of member activity, information, and content from our Services, you should keep in mind that your activity, information, or content that is Public Information may be accessed by search engines and other third parties.

To Better Promote Our Services

We may ask advertisers outside of our Services to display ads promoting our Services. We may ask them to deliver those ads based on the aggregate data about our member base, but in doing so will not share any personally identifiable activity, information, or content about you with the advertiser.

We may use activity, information, or content you provide that you explicitly allow to be publicly available in your My Account page in order to advertise our Services more effectively through such channels as search engines, Facebook, other SNSs, other websites, mobile devices, and print media.

We use Video Genie to allow members to provide personal testimonials and reviews about our Services. We may use select videos provided by our members in order to advertise our Services more effectively through such channels as search engines, Facebook, other SNSs, other websites, mobile devices, and print media.

To Improve Our Services

We may share aggregated activity, information, or content with third parties to help improve our Services.  But we only do so in such a way that no individual user can be identified or linked to any specific activity, information, or content.

To Provide You With Our Services

We may provide your activity, information, or content to service providers and vendors that help us bring you the Services we offer.  For example, we may use third parties to help host our Services, provide customer support, send out e-mail updates about our Services, or process payments. These service providers may have access to your activity, information, or content.

To Respond to Legal Requests and Prevent Harm

We may disclose activity, information, or content pursuant to warrants, subpoenas, court orders, or other requests (including criminal and civil matters) if we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law. This may include respecting requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law under the local laws in that jurisdiction, apply to users from that jurisdiction, and are consistent with generally accepted international standards. We may also share activity, information, or content when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activity, to prevent imminent bodily harm, or to protect ourselves and you from people violating our Terms of Use or policies. This may include sharing your activity, information, and contnet with other companies, lawyers, courts or other government entities.

Transfer in the Event of Sale or Change of Control

If the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes, we may transfer your activity, information, and content to the new owner. In such a case, your activity, information, and content would be treated in accordance with the new owner’s privacy policy.

 

How You Can Change or Remove Information

Editing or Deleting Your Information

You may change or remove certain activity, information, or content at any time through your My Account page.

Disconnecting from Facebook or other SNSs

You may disconnect your Youble account from your Facebook or other SNS profile at any time through your My Account page.

Limitations on Removal

Even after you remove your activity, information, or content from your profile or delete your account, copies of that activity, information, or content may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users.

Backup Copies

Removed and deleted activity, information, or content may persist in backup copies on our servers, but will not be available to others. We maintain the backup copies to allow you to re-activate your account, and to improve our Services (for example, by analyzing the reasons for member cancellation).

 

How We Protect Information

Steps We Take to Keep Your Information Secure

We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you enter your payment information, you are taken to our third-party payment processor, CheddarGetter, LLC, where you will be able to provide that information, which is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Risks Inherent in Sharing Information

Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access to your activity, information, or content, and although we use certain security and technological protections, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you share your activity, information, or content. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your activity, information, or content. We cannot ensure that activity, information, or content you share on our Services will not become publicly available. We are not responsible for third party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures on our Services. You can reduce these risks by using common sense security practices such as choosing a strong password, using different passwords for different services, and using up to date antivirus software.

You should report any security violations to us by e-mailing support@youble.com.

 

Other Terms

Changes

We may change this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason.  Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all activity, information, and content that we have about you and your account. Generally, changes to the Privacy Policy will be effective upon posting to our website.  In some cases, we will also bring significant changes to your attention through e-mail and/or a message in your account.

Consent to Collection and Processing in the United States

By using our Services, you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
